When I had a self laid mooring, I had 4 big anchors and dug them in and buried the anchors totally, in a cross shape, chain off of each of them up to a swivel, with another riser chain off up to the bouy. I haven't had a speedwell but I would have thought that a 70hp would be plenty and I would have thought it would have had a 13 pitch prop at least. However assuming that the engine is running correctly. Weight and positioning of that weight makes a lot of difference, moving weight forward will help ...
