After the string you will need to put the rubber insert into the seal and this is when the tool plays it part , wel I'm hoping it does anyway !

Wow hoo , well the windows are back in and I got a lot done on the boat this weekend , I have filed all the holes around the boat that weren't needed, who ever had the boat before either went crazy with a drill or they had a lot of equipment on the boat , also the electrics are almost there , x2 batteries , 6 gang switch board , split charge , main cut off key, a solar panel to trickle charge when I'm not with the boat , vhf radio (dsc) , fish finder with depth gage, plus all the nav lights , cabin lights are in and working . This weekend I will be fitting the engine and getting it all connected and antifoul the hull, and then hopefully taking the boat to water the following weekend

The dog has also been keeping an eye on what's going on , think she might want to go on the boat too!

So I will need to secure the batteries in place using timber around the base of the batteries an then a strap over the top.

Which kind of material is the one you used to mount switches and VHF? From the picture it seems something like MDF, if this is the case I would be careful because it easily absorbs moisture if placed in a wet environment.

The windows are very nice, did you use polycarbonate, plexiglass or what?

Your right it is mdf , I'm hoping that the boat will be dry enough inside, the windows are sealed and the door will be sealed. If I have to i will replace after the season .

The windows are 5mm Perspex which came with the boat but can be bought from fleabay !

Could well be the same it is used for the rubber insert on my windows and I guess I could put Chrome in if I wanted , I thought it was a lot of money for what it is but Im glad I bought it as the windows were a lot easier to do

So been out working on the boat again , all eletrics are done , fish finder is in an working , radio is in and mmsi number in stalled , aswell as the bilge pump and auto float switch , I have now antifouled the hull 2 coats , put the cover on the back and engine and finished a few little jobs that needed doing .






Just waiting on a steering link arm to come and we are ready for some wet stuff , I will be going down to the docks and test running her first and then down south for the rest of the season
