This looks like a great improvement, thank you. Not sure why unread posts come up with those which have 11 answers though? No criticism at all, because I know what admin took on a couple of years ago and what a great job is being achieved here. Thank you so much for keeping the Association going.

She has done a brilliant job in designing a whole new site from scratch; all in her own time. Please praise, and don't knock something you don't really know the history of.

As admin on a Broads related forum using the same PHPBB software I know the problems when upgrading to a newer version. After updating silly glitches often appear, links stop working, things get moved about the page for no reason etc.
It can be a headache resolving these things as it is often just a error in the coding. But the problem is finding these errors and correcting them. PHPBB coding was not originally professionally written and modifications over the years have come from a variety of different places.

Most users are not expert's on web forums and need to be able to find their way round in an uncomplicated manner.

So full marks to Sue for creating the new look SOA forum. It is clear and concise and easy to navigate. A great site that looks good. Don't knock it unless you can do better.

Quite right, and to be fair Sue asked for opinions in advance of the changes, if you didn't offer your opinion then it's your own fault, end of! At least we have a site to share our love of Shetland boats, without Sue's efforts we would have nothing so I'm grateful no matter what it looks like. That said I think the new look is good, clean and easy to navigate even for for us childish types!

I have been away or a few weeks and have only now seen the new site. It looks brilliant and modern, ignore the carpers and the comment about childish. You have done a great job please keep up the good work.
