Back home now as boat yard has shut. Picked up the fabric on way home to cover the centre part of the bed. Blue and staples so I should be ok with that.

Just finished making the inserts for the bed. Didn't take as long as I expected. Decided to make it in 3 parts.

Ah Beeston marina!

I'm based at Redhill Marina, just down (or up?!?) the river from you. Seen this boat for sale at Beeston Marina and noticed in the last few weeks somebody had bought it. I remember it because it's the same as my 535. Even down to the fact that my Mum also made my curtains, ha ha.
You're in quite a good spot for different places to visit. Newark, Leicester and Burton are both reachable within a long weekend for you.

Hi mark, not sure if it was you a couple of weekends ago who came by me, I was moored up just down from cranfleet lock. I was observing how people came through the lock going forwards as I had done it every way except forwards the previous day. I'm thinking of heading up to shardlow tomorrow.

Yes, That may well have been me. My boat is called Shy Guy. I tend to head out on it every couple of weekends.
Don't worry too much about struggling through the locks - you'll be surprised how many people get in a mess. In a couple of months, you'll be an expert compared to some!

Nice to see you out on the Trent today mark. We'd stayed the night down at gunthorpe, it was seriously quiet. Managed all the locks without mishap.

Sounds good, I want to get down to Newark. I was quite surprised though how much fuel we used though, i will have to research where I can fill my tank on route.it seemed a lot more than when we go on the soar.
