Greetings people of the SOA.
Does anyone out there know of any good CLEAN shower facilities on the Norfolk broads ? I have a list that I downloaded of the tinterweb a couple of years ago when I last visited the broads but the shower facilities we used were very poor to say the least. One in particular that I used at a pub was so filthy I felt like I needed a shower more after I’d used it. We are planning to visit again this year so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

It is a crying shame that one of Britain's most beautiful waterways has such crap facilities. I live here and often feel ashamed at how rubbish many of them are.
A tip? Have you tried the Waveney area around Beccles? Not so vast as the northern Broads but absolutely beautiful with such facilities as I know (Beccles itself for example) not bad. And much less crowded.

Your not wrong it is a beautiful place with plenty of wild life and good pubs. But I haven't been on the southern side and now you've mentioned it maybe I'll give it a go this year for a change.

Waveney River Centre has the best showers on the Broads, one of the friendliest pubs and, most importantly, ME!

Seriously, the Southern Broads has Beccles, Geldeston, Oulton Broad powerboat racing on a Thursday (reserve a mooring and watch it from your own boat), Coldham Hall, Reedham… And it’s a long way from the contact sport of navigating through Horning and Wroxham, Ludham Bridge, and the M25 chaos of the River Ant on changeover day.

Don’t tell anyone else though, otherwise they’ll all come down here (although many of ‘em are scared of crossing Breydon Water which keeps the numbers down, and the stronger currents and tidal range puts off the inexperienced).

There are showers at Yarmouth Yacht Station and there is a swimming pool behind the Ferry Inn in Horning which must have showers. As a local I havent used either so I cant give any recommendations.

Thanks for the replies.
I have twice stayed in a chalet for a week at that marina with the pool stan. It is spotlessly clean and the pub was good too with entertainment on some nights. We moored up right outside the chalet door so we had the best of both worlds really all be it a bit pricey. But I do like sleeping on the boat so we need good public facilities really.
