Can envy one tell me the headroom in the cabin of a Shetland 27ft year 2006

we had look around one last summer, My hubby is 6ft 2 and had no problem with cabin ceiling clearance

Thanks for your help were looking at an unrestored freeman 27 1980 but a Shetland 27 has come on the market more money but a much better boat. I talk to the bank manger (wife) many thanks Pete

We have a (newish) Shetland 27 and the headroom in that depends on the floor option - as my wife and I are reaonably vertically challenged (i.e. not tall) we had the floor in the main cabin 'filled in' which gives us what we call the 'cellar' - an approx 6 foot long and about 4 inch deep (10 cm in new money) space which admirably keeps non perishable items such as tins, wine and booze nicely cool on most days.

We have a friend who is 6 foot 2 or 3 and he would struggle slightly but when we saw 'our' boat at a boat show (without a 'cellar') he had no issues !

Hi, I'm 6 ft tall and compared to a Bayliner 285 we had some years ago the space (and headroom) on a Shetland 27 is really good. We have the "raised " floor and I'm more than happy with the headroom.

I am 6'5" and have a 2010 Shetland 27. I can stand upright in the saloon (without the raised floor obviously). That was a major factor in choosing the boat.
