Engine water flush tank

Any ideas where to find a water bin/tank, 70cm x 70cm x 70cm minimum, so I can run my Mercury 75 in?

Hi solex, Your engine is a bit big for a bucket lol. So if you have a tap close by then invest in a pair of I think there called Muffs.
You connect a hose pipe to what looks like a pair of head phones and the water runs out of one end.. you put these onto your engine with the water connecting to the water intake on your engine.. Start up your engine and the water will flow through your engine.. Only with yours It might not pass straight through because your engine may have a thermostat..Once the engine has reached normal running temperature then the thermostat should open and then you will see water shooting up into the air. Only use these in neutral never open the power. Cheers T

Do you use wheelie bins for rubbish collections in your area?
We have a spare one acquired from the council, half filled with water (and a bit of washing up liquid to lubricate the engine). Motor clamped to the side, makes a perfect flush tank.

OK. I really want to use a tank to cut down on the very loud exhaust noise when using the Flush Muffs.
Wheelie Bin too narrow and tall.

I have used a 44 gallon drum cut in half before works well ( the steel type that oil comes in).

I use a plastic domestic cold water tank bought from DIY stores.
Cheap, various sizes, and the motor can even be
tilted in an out of the water.

Tried Wickes, B&Q Country Farms etc and all they got are Water Butts. Too small.

Many thanks.
Went to Oswestry Poundstretcher and bought a 150Lt storage bin. Was able to run engine in it ok. The engine starts and ticks over nicely with no nasty noises. Even ran in gear slowly. But when raising the engine up, the bottom fin caught and cracked the bin. At least the engine seems to start and tick over ok.
