Thought it about time I started putting some pictures up

I bought the Mark ! 570 about 12 months ago and there was very little left of it as far as fittings go

No seats, doors, interior, basically a bare canvas.

Ive now made all the wood for the interior. a full rewire with Led lights and made a panel with opening door to get to the electrics behind the console.

Floor has been totally glassed in and had its initial coat of 650gsm fibreglass ready for another 2 layers when I have made the seat pedestals and lockers behind. These will be fibreglassed over when complete and joined to the floor to give final glassing. hey will al then be flow coated white.

Ive made the rear seat bases and together with my mate whipped un some nice stainless adjust support legs.

New side panels have been made, coated with watered down resin (using styrene) and had 2 coats of oil based gloss. These will be ready for fitting tomorrow so I can refit the rest of the console and start measuring for seat pedestal and lockers.

After Jon on here kindly providing me with some pictures of the cabin door arrangement, Ive taken this one step further and used counter hinges to join the split door so that it folds flat , bottom against top, sae having a lump of wood to store

Had my mate trim the edges for me in waterproof pvc strip.

After fitting the hinges and locks etc tomorrow they will come back with me ready for a coat of resin and 2 coats of white gloss be fore going back for final fitting.

It's all looking good Simon, wish I could pull my perverbial finger out and get mine finished or even on the road to finished.

I have just received the new seals for the Windows and hopefully my new Windows will be here very soon so I can start to get her cabin water tight again.

Im planning a full day on her tomorrow and then pedestal and locker building on Sunday, Hopefully !!!

I'm on Holliday next week so I'm planning to get a lot done, but our lambing is due to start in the next few days so that'll probably end up taking up my time.

I imagine if you glass the floor in you never have to worry about water getting underneath?

Hopefully that's the idea but water does have a path through from inside the cabin, so I have a 12" inspection cover under the splashwell above the bilge pump

Just added another 5 photos from today

managed to get the side fitted , steering cable and vhf lead, clocks, panels and steering wheel back on

The doors have have been test fitted and removed before coated in resin and then 2 coats of gloss white paint.

Now the sides are on Ive taken measurements for the seat lockers and lower lockers behind . these will be fitted both sides.


Now it actually seems like its coming together.

My other half wants a trial on water before we crack on with the interior.

well after a good days work on Saturday I haven't been able to get down to the boat because of the weather.

I took some measurements for the seat pedestal and rear locker Im building and these are now built and ready to go down for test fit.

What I have discovered, although I expected it to be honest, is that my throttle and gear cable will be too short.

I haven't measured what I need yet but based on online recommended lengths from control box to back, half way along transom and add 4 ft I just know that the 9foot cables that came with the Suzuki will be too short.


Never mind, only need a spare hour or so to get down to test fit and then I can cut and build the lockers for the other side.

I have just bought a 570 and I'm based in Lymington It's inspiring seeing what people have done with theirs on here.

Can i ask where on your boat you fitted the bilge pump?

I fitted the bilge at rear of the boat under the transom

I do have a 12inch round inspection cover over it, cut into the floor so I can access the pump and float if needed
