I received this email this morning

"Hi. My name is Steve Pike, and I am the owner/ builder of sports cruiser manufacturer Quayline International Boats, based in Poole. We now are announcing today the purchase of the moulds tools from Shetland boats (James Reinman) for the Family Four . The boat will be manufactured under the Quayline brand and will be known as the Quayline F4. Details will be available on our website www.quaylineboats.co.uk next week. All spares will be made available as well, including canopies/covers as we manufacture these ourselves.

We also have the former Dolphin 16/19 moulds, which you may know as the former Shetland Black Hawk hull designs.

There’s a chap in the south west who makes them at a good price, he’s mentioned here and there on the forum. Mine was made at Penton Hook when I bought the boat but it was included in the price so not sure of cost.

I'm sure James Reinman marine (Shetland Boats) would make you one.

I'm also a brand new owner of a classic Black Hawk 19. Needs a few bits and a canopy. If you are going to buy maybe we could get and order together and see if they can do a better deal. I need a Tallis one as I'm 6ft 4. Always wanted a shetland. Awesome. Thanks in advance

I've contacted Nauticover and they no longer have the patterns so can't help. Shame as they advertised it.

Oh ok. My 4+2 cover was made at Penton Hook Marina by The Trim Shop.

I say that, they refitted the trim and cockpit covers. They had the old canopy as the boat was in the yard so may well have used it as a template. Not sure that's helpful if your name is a giveaway to your location?

I'm going to be sending them my original blackhawk to make a replacement - they're going to make a template from it - contact them again and ask about it
