Good morning just thought I’d introduce myself, I’m Gary and live in West Sussex. I’ve been wanting a boat for quite a while now and after doing a fair bit of homework I’ve decided a Shetland 535 is what I’d like. I’m in the process of selling my motorbike to fund my new adventure so fingers crossed it won’t take too long to sell.
I’m sure there will be a obvious and silly questions that I’ll be asking so please go gentle with me

Brilliant boat, just sold mine a month ago to upgrade to something a little bigger. Great boat though.

Yes, welcome. We’re a friendly bunch and we all had and probably still have a whole bunch of silly questions but if you don’t ask you don’t learn! The two Shetland Facebook groups often have ones for sale. I have a 4+2 so not a lot of help but one thing to know about is leaks, particularly the foam and stringers under the floor which is a big job to fix. Personally I’d avoid old two stroke engines. Hello to everyone
my name is Marvin 40 years old and also new to this forum.
I come from Germany(excuse my english) and iam "new" to this boat-game.
I hope to find some support /help/friends here.
So please be gentle even if ask stupid questions
At the moment I drive a 4m rubber duck with an 15hp engine.......
But I wanna step up and buy a sheltie 535 or 570.....or???
