SHETLAND OWNERS ASSOCIATION

I bought a 4+2 some time ago with the remains of some original decals. I always liked them but didn't see them anywhere, so I bit the bullet and photographed the best remaining one before I removed it and using Affinity Photo (almost free version of Photoshop) created a copy. My boat has a black hood and black antifoul so I've made a black and white version. Family consensus is the boat looks much younger than its years and using the original colours would make the boat look older. So, it will be black and white outside and I'm getting a smaller colour one made to put in the panel in the cabin by the head.

The originals were right by the stern under the rubbing strip, but I'm wondering if that's the best place I can use them. Up on the cabin? By the stern on the gunnel upright?

Just sent off to be made along with fresh name stickers.

I really like this design and couldn’t find one anywhere.

I’m getting them done by Ryan Gibson, check his FaceBook page. I found him on the Shetland Boats FB forum. I thought his prices are very good. I sent him PDFs and PNGs (as I want a clear background) of the boat name and decals. So 3 boat names at I think two at 70cm and one at 50 for the stern. Three mono decals at 25cm and one colour one at 20cm. Cost incl post is £55 but my designs not his so it may be a bit cheaper cos of that. Plus, I sent them Wed/Thurs this week and he is posting them start/middle of next week!

He has lots of designs for different Shetlands.
