SHETLAND OWNERS ASSOCIATION

I am taking my 4+2 (soft top) on the Broads in September, I have been trying to work out if it will fit under Potter Heigham bridge. The air draft with screen down is 5' 8", over a width of 68". It looks as if it will be a close thing !

We have a Blackhawk (fixed sceens) which will go under as long as the height markers show 6 ft or more. The tides do make a big difference as to wether we can get through or not. We always plan to pass through on the low tides. Well worthwhile if you can get through!

Yes, I have been through many times before in my old Black Hawk, never had a problem, but Air draft on that was 5' 5" hood down, & over a narrower width, hence my concern. I really hope it will fit, as we love Horsey Mere as a stopping place, & Somerton. easy walk to the coast from both.
I have read that the clearance has dropped over the last few years, either rising water level or subsidence ?

You can always check with the bridge pilot nearer the time, they are very helpful and know what will fit through.
