From a current ebay advert

"shetland 498 commonly called a family four ,don,t be confused with the cheaper shetland 535,this model was very expensive when new thats why they are not so common"

oh the 498 has grown as well to be 17.5 feet in lengh!

What makes this more daft is that the boat looks in ok condition and with a good engine would be a great purchase.

Hi Dave, did you report it to ebay. I hate when people do that and some innocent buyer gets done. If you put the link on i will report it as well.

reported but ebay did nothing. it would be a real shame if someone bid and then refused to pay due to false advertising!

Yep i have done the same, also contacted the seller to tell him about the boat. I hate when people do that but going buy his feedback which is 100% he is maybe just mistaken.
