SHETLAND OWNERS ASSOCIATION

The original rubbing strip is in need of replacing . Has anyone any tips on the best and easiest way of removing the old strip ( which seems to be pop riveted into the hull)

I removed mine on the weekend , just pull out the fillet strip to expose the rivets then drill them out.

Sounds easy......many thanks

Just dont drill too far or it will look like a sieve!

hi I replaced mine on Moneypenny last year replaced the rubbing strip when it is warm if possible I ordered mine from Shetland boats the red strip was not available at that time. see photos
