SHETLAND OWNERS ASSOCIATION

So my first season of owning a boat is nearly coming to an end , I'm already planing the trip down south to bring her home :( I will be doing some bits and bobs over the next couple of months and then putting her in the docks for the winter , just so I can still use her !

What's your plans for the ...

Hi rob , with the batteries , I have a 100ah Liesure batt and a normal car batt , I also bought a solar panel (£25)and put it in the window so the the starter battery (car) is always getting a trickle charge , just something for you to think about . Works for me

We went out yesterday up the river exe , couldn't go out the sea as it was a easterly wind with big swells , so thought better of it

Went and had a coffee in the floating cafe so not all was bad .

So what is everyone up to this weekend , where are you taking the Shetlands for some water time ?

Myself I shall be going fishing off the coast of exmouth , been out the last 2weekends and caught lots of mackerel and the odd pollock, then around the river exe for a cold drink in the floating cafe ...

Well we have had one anyway, the boat is back in action and boy have we used it :)

Spent the day in Bristol docks on Saturday, there was loads going on , bungee jumping over the water , riding along side the Matthew , and which seamed like hundreds of people everywhere . We then took the boat back ...

Hi all ,
I was just wondering how many fellow shetland owners live near my neck of the woods ?

It would be good to try and arrange a meet up of some sort , maybe a pint and a chat ?
I do know of a shetland round the corner from me but haven't yet seen anyone to talk to
