The Shetland 27 is a great boat; I finished restoring a 535 this rekindled my love of boating ( photo on this site moneypenny ) no blistering on this boat . Has the quality of Shetland changed over the years . Thanks for all the help and advice

We have found a Shetland 27 that we can afford but as always there is a catch, at the last survey 2010 the main concern is blistering on the hull no visible gel coat damage 60% of the hull was covered with small lumps 1mm high and 3 mm in diameter some with traces of moisture. No remedial ...

We viewed a shetlend 27 2008 today. Good clean boat battery’s replaced 2 years ago, engine serviced 3 years ago ,anti foul 2 years ago. T.V standard boat, in cherry. left in water and not used for 2 years any comments

Thanks for all your helpfully advice our price range is 30-40K max and on the Thames as the cost of transport must be taken into account 3000kg is a big boat to be towed by my reliant robin .

We have decide on a replacement boat Shetland 27 we are looking at one this week end .What accessories should I look for and engine. The boat will be used on the full length Thames tidal as well . I have been advise to buy very carefully as the quality is suspect

Thanks for your help were looking at an unrestored freeman 27 1980 but a Shetland 27 has come on the market more money but a much better boat. I talk to the bank manger (wife) many thanks Pete
