CARPET

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where is the best place to get carpet for my Shetland Kestrel?
It's not backed, so as to be waterproof I guess. Also it is of a brown colour.

I've just fitted carpet in my Speedwell.
I bought an end of roll remnant from our local carpetright.

I used Jumbo cord in our 535. Not only is it the cheapest foam back available,
it is also very thin making it nice and light. Its also very easy to make any joins
invisible. Comes in a range of colours. I did the bottom half of the cabin nearly two
years ago and will be doing the top half as soon as the weather warms up a bit.
Once up, I'll no longer get the endless condensation on the roof of the cabin
which I'll be glad to see the back off. Just mask off any areas you don't want glue on.

Cheapest carpet I could find is the super stretch stuff - much better for lining boats and vans as it is so much more pliable. I've used it for 4x4s. Just search for van lining carpet. Comes on 2m wide rolls as well. You can get 20 square metres plus adhesive for less than £100 posted. More than anyone would need.

I intend to get some for mine once I'm done painting. Maybe next season if I don't get round to it before April.

I did mine last month, got the materials from mega van mats, spent more on the glue than the fabric.
