Shetland Cabin Curtain fixings/cord etc

Hi All
I'm about to start getting the curtain fixings sorted for my F4 cabin.
Unfortunately the boat came without the curtain fixings/cords etc. So I've got a blank canvas and nothing to work with.

I'm curious as to what the original arrangement was, I can see 6 holes surrounding each window, which I presume M5 bolts go through and then perhaps some sort of ring at the end - then some sort of cord hooks on these?

Please could I ask someone send some info or photos of the cord, and fixings? Need to know what I must buy to get these sorted so I can finally carpet the ceiling of the cabin!

I don't think any of the Shetland's came with fitted curtains, those holes have been introduced by a previous owner.
This is the solution I came up with. I used Rivnuts, Eye Bolts and washers, all in stainless steel.
The rivnuts are a tight sliding fit through the fiberglass and held in place with marine silicon, on the inside I introduced washers which are siliconed in place then covered with some fiberglass, this then stops anything coming slack. The eye bolts are then cut to the desired length, I cut them slightly short so I could fill the rivnut on the outside with clear silicone, I may be changing this to white silicon later. This gives a neat finish on the outside and low profile which was what I was after. Once the carpet is glued in place all you see is the ring of the eye bolt and makes for a neat finish. The curtains would be held in place using net curtain wire and hooks. Here's some images and links. They are not necessarily the cheapest on ebay, just examples.

Hi,

Early model F4s came with curtains. Overlength bolts capped with nylon dome nuts on the inside went through the six holes on each window, and the curtains were fitted with sprung curtain wire hooked onto the shank of the bolts between the locking nut and the capping nut.

Hi, I have just taken on a quite tired and neglected 570, the interior has been flooded due to the deteriorated seal on the houdini hatch and there are black lines from each of the "curtain hangers". I couldn't believe that someone would drill holes through the hull of a boat, just to hang curtains. 4mm stainless screws with a spring washer (corroded away) a stainless nut and then a plastic capped stainless nut. There just has to be a better solution.
