Outboard transom bolts ?

Hello, guys going to be fitting a 30hp four-stroke to my boat. Do I use red or blue Loctite on outboard motor mounting bolts? Talking off bolts I am finding it very hard to source the right bolts. Yamaha 90101-12M65 Transom Bolt M12 X 105MM £23 for one bolt and it doesn't even come with washers or nut? eBay one M12 PART THREADED BOLT ZINC GRADE 8.8 FULL NUTS, WASHERS £1.85 ?? What bolts to you guys use As I can't find bolts anywhere. Will I can but to cheap or to dear !!

Hi there, have a look @ westfield fasteners, I use them a fair bit. Ideally you should use a coach bolt, which has a square under the head, this will allow fitting a security lock on your bolt/s that can't easily be undone. If you use Nylock nuts you should not need loctite, the other thing is, Stainless Steel fittings are not cheap, so you will pay a bit!! Have you looked to see if you have an engineering suppliers in your local area, you might get what you need over the counter, cheers Magic

Plenty of marine grade a4 M12 x 110 carriage bolts on Ebay around £1 each.

Thanks, guys for your input. Got a full set off proper outboard motor bolts @ 40 pounds. There was no way I was bolting a 2018 engine to my boat with £1 eBay bolts
