535 suntrip

IV recently bought a 535 suntrip as a project. IV put new floor in seats. Headliner the cabin, steering, rocker switches and the remaining thing to be done are to fix the lights and extend all the wiring and seating for the cabin.
I'm struggling to find out how to make a windscreen or an idea what people use to do so. I can't find any plans or spec on how people do this. Any advice would be great.

Also I have a 20hp honda 4 stroke attached on the back. I'm wondering if this is enough to push along me and one other. I'm not looking at going 100 mph just enough to get out to sea for fishing.

Yes the 20hp will push it along, but it might not get up on the plane.
My 535 had a 30hp on it and I changed it for a 75hp after only using it for a week.
For me it was painful with the 30hp, I prefer having a bit more power, even if I don't use it, just gives me more confidence if it blows up rough etc.
But that's just me.

With the screen, you could make a cardboard template but obviously you would need to find someone with a screen on the same boat first.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know for know. I'm looking at getting a bigger engine but it's just waiting for one local that's not a million years old and needs loads of work.
I'll keep a look out for a boat same a mine near me. I haven't seen one as of yet.
I'm going to keep the boat on moring but haven't got a cover unsure if I need one or not. Going to see if I can work out how to have the bilge pump running on auto while I'm not there but Sonu gone get there and the battery is flat

With the engine, I bought another boat and swapped the engines, then sold the other boat again to get the money back.

Yes I would have a cover, yes they can be expensive but they last year's.

My bilge pump has a float switch so it works automatically and it also works on a switch on the dashboard.

My cover keeps the boat dry and I never have water inside, so the bilge pump doesn't run much if at all but it can sit on the mooring for 6 weeks at a time and the battery is fine.

Where abouts are you based? My mooring is on the River Hamble.

Did it not have a windscreen when you bought it? I have a Suntrip and will be happy to send measurements and pics of the windscreen if it helps

No I bought a shell and buil it up from there. Yes that would be great if you could do that Sonu can look into making one.

Yeah I'm looking into buying one just wait to find the right one or person to make it. I'm based in South Wales
