Outboard platform

Hi all,

Re the outboard platform on my 2007 Family 4 is the water in the platform for trimming the boat
or is it just a hollow space with no purpose?
There is an access hatch to pump the space out.
Also had no joy yet finding a floor socket to take the leg of the cabin table as the old one has broken up,
any ideas where i could get one ?

I am not aware that the bathing platform should be full of water, it's main purpose was to allow the engine to be mounted outside the cockpit allowing more space to move about. Re table mount, check out Just Kampers, they are UK based VW camper spares outlet, I've had a floor socket & blanking plugs from them. Cheers Magic
