I was stationed up here in the early '80s at a radar station overlooking Muckle Flugga Lighthouse
Moved up here 2 years ago and need to get afloat again, after a couple of years working on Seismic research vessels.
Shetland boats seem like the mutts nuts to me. Can't wait for my first one!

No way do we go south of Sumburgh Head unless we have to visit daughters! Never realised how bad 'down south' was till we moved to paradise!

where did you get the blackhawk from? I sold mine last year to a guy from aberdeen way. It was a great boat and we spent many a night on her.

ps good to see a bit of snobery about where you live but dont tell the forum owner that as Sue thinks the south coast of england is best. yes we know she is v wrong but we do love the forum so lets not get kicked off!
