Remove riveted window

Could anyone tell me how to remove the riveted window frame on a Shetland? Thanks!

I would assume the same as any other rivets? By drilling. Any pictures? Likely to be blind rivets (that don’t go though). I asked the same some time ago for my turn buttons that hold on my tonneau. Used sharp drill bits and start small and increase size until it is loose. I’ve done a test and refilled the holes with fibreglass and GRP. Just take it slow and gentle to avoid drilling through.

Haha and post lots of pictures with no model info of price range or links to a web site - but to be fair they have said more than once to let them know if they are overstepping the rules. Maybe we should say what is acceptable. Certainly advise on how to cut sheet material and drill holes close to the edge would be helpful. Took me a while to hear where they are based and it’s too far away for me in Surrey.

In fairness, I think many members will just be pleased that there is a goto manufacturer of Shetland screens besides Shetlands themselves. Judging by the number of post asking where to get replacements, many boats are now getting to the point where the Perspex is showing the signs of age

Maybe a post in Maintenance/DIY with contact details would be enough, I agree it's a good resource and something a lot of people are interested in - I will be needing a pair of cabin windows for my 4+2 soon but want to use the old screens as a template

I think having boat screen manufacturers as active members of the forum community offering advice and a different point of view as freely as any other member would only be positive, they also could improve the community by asking for help getting a catalogue of templates together, for a 'pret a porter' screen service. Everyone would be enriched that way.
