Tips on buying a 570

I'm going to look at a 1973 570. Does anyone have any useful suggestions on what to look out for? It's got a 60 hp Yamaha 4 stroke engine on it.

Watch out for sponginess on the cockpit or cabin floor, and the coachroof. look for flex or signs of flex on the transom. Try to check the join between the hull and the top moulding under the rubbing strip, especially if you see any crazing or stress cracks.
Don’t be surprised if the windows leak, one of the easier things to sort.
It’s a simple boat, and most problems should be fairly obvious.
60hp is at the low end of engine power if you are going coastal, it should plane with 2 adults, but you will be near full throttle most of the time.

I had a Black Hawk (Same hull) purchased with a Marina 60 2 stroke. It would plane, but your co-pilot had to move to the front of the boat to get it up, once planing he / she could return to the cockpit, & boat remained on the plane went realy well.
