I have a Shetland 535 with a 1981 Yamaha 55hp outboard
It has a 11 5/8 x 11propeller but it's not an original one I don't think,before I go and buy one(I haven't had it on the water since buying it) is this the correct size and pitch or is there another size recommend.

Hi,
It’s best to lookup the recommended rpm at full power for your motor. If you are close to that rpm the prop will be fine. If your rpm is too low essentially your motor will be working too hard and it could shorten the life of the motor.
I had a Quick Look at a table, looks like there is only one option for Yamaha 55hp and recommended rpm was 4500-5500 top end. You want a prop that will put you comfy in that range.
