MK 2 Family Four ….underfloor foam

Hi Guys
I’m considering buying a MK two Family Four ( the model with the outboard within the boat outline as per original 356) Is there anyway of checking when viewing to buy the condition of the foam

Not sure if this helps but I recently checked foam on my mk1 by pressing firmly along the hull. Any soft spots or sponginess might indicate water absorption or degradation. a bit tricky though.

As been advised, use a jetwasher to knock off the growth and loose stuff. If antifouled, lightly rub over with a scotch cloth and re- antifoul. If bare gel coat, I use an supermarket anti mould spray then spread it with a cloth while wet (protect hands) wait for it to work, then wash down with hose. When dry, polish as above. If keeping the boat afloat, definitely recommend using antifoul.
