HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US - 1 YEAR ON

On Sunday 19th this new site will be 1 year old. My, how time flies.

I would like to thank all the old timers who moved over from the old site to here and to welcome the 100 new members who joined us this year.

Under our PAYPAY and site conditions, we are unable to make a profit from our subscriptions ( attracts attention from the taxman.). After the annual site/server/admid fees are paid, we have approx £400 to donate to what ever charitable purpose we choose.

We have already donated £100 to the RNLI, Profits of the T shirts that were sold.

I would like any suggestions of were you would like the money to go, bearing inmid we have inland as well as coastal members. Therefore suggestions such as

RNLI
Any inland water restoration projects
Seaman charities

etc etc

Please let me know your thoughts.

Well done Sue (and others) who dedicate lots of time and effort to this site - THANK YOU.

As for charities, I add my vote to supporting the RNLI for all the work they do in making boating safer as well as the rescue work!

Looking forward to catching up with some of you on the Solent again this year (when it has defrosted!).

Having originally instigated the Polo shirt venture and managed to raise what we did... Plus this is ongoing and will continue to go to the RNLI I think it would be very appropriate that any funds raised through the site also went to the RNLI. Also a big thanks to Sue for all her hard work in maintaining the site, Dee and Martin
