Out Fishing On Excalibur Tomorrow Gonna Make A Video

Heading out into the channel tomorrow for a fishing trip. Will take my video camera and will do my best to film the day. Should be a video ready by monday night for you to all look at.

River fishing from a boat! Is there an advantage over fishing from the bank, apart from having a nice day afloat? Sorry if that's a daft question I've never heard of it in the UK before

The River Thames has many off shoots, islands, cuts and dead ends with weirs. It is also one of the most controlled rivers in that many banks are off limits or owned by companies, clubs, syndicates, private homes and even the Queen near me in Windsor. The boat allows me to get to all these spots and fish without issues.
I also like to go out and drop bait in appropriate spots in the days leading upto my fishing trips - I tell the wife this is imperative to successful fishing and thus it gives me a good excuse to take the boat out for a spin after work in the evenings.

Loads of smoothhounds being caught in eastbourne now. Most on crab but some to black lug.
