Burgees

The burgees arrived today, so I will beposting them out in the next day or two to those I have received cheques from; namely Erik, Don and Kevin. If you have expressed an interest in a burgee, please send a cheque as soon as possible if you are still interested. If you have changed your mind and no longer want one, please let me know, so I can free up your burgee for someone else.
There are still plenty of burgees available so please let me know if you would like one. These are high quality knitted polyester, double sided burgees measuring 6"x12". They are made by The Hampshire Flag Company and come complete with rope and toggle, ready to fly. The price is £10.50 incl. P&P. Just to add, the price is strictly cost, I make no profit out of ordering and selling the burgees, and have no connection with The Hampshire Flag Company.

Hi John.
I would be very interested in buying one of you burgees.
This maybe a silly question, but how would i attach it to my boat, does it go onto a flag pole and if so, do you have a photo of one fitted to give me an idea of how to do it
I feel a bit daft having to ask

Can we have a few ideas from those who have bought a burgee as to how they have fixed them to their boat/flagpole. A bit like eating cream eggs really!!

officially burgees are always flown at the front of the boat, the only flag you should ever fly at the back is the Ensign

Burgees are a sign of membership to a club or association such as ours, the RYA, yacht club etc. On our 570 we fly ours on the front white nav light stem. Some people fly theirs on the radio ariel but it must be at the front or you will run the risk of being drumed out tof the Brownies....

Oooops , we have always attached ours on the 535 below the red ensign on the flag pole at the stern of the boat as on the 535 there was no where else to put it! And had intended to do the same with our 570!

I was intending to fly mine at the back of the boat too. I have a club burgee taking up the forward light stem on my 570. Will have to re-think

Seascrew do stainless steel flagpole holder clamps which can be clamped onto the pulpit to hold a small flagstaff to fly the burgee from:

Have you sent out the burgees yet. I still haven't received one and am a bit worried that you said you would be sending them out a while ago

Sorry about the delay, I was completely snowed under last week. The burgees were sent first class post on Saturday morning, so if they did not arrive today, they should hopefully be with you tomorrow.
