Hello everyone , nice to see you . My name is Jon I'm from south Wales . I have owned a Shetland 570 since 1988 and before her I owned a 535 for two years '. We have mostly moored her at fishguard and have spent years fishing /cruising the cardigan bay. We have spent many wonderful times on her .my children have grown up with her and continue with the same love and passion for her, and even one of my son's has bought another 570 .
At present my boat is home and has been totally stripped and looking forward to being refitted ,' but unfortunately my transom has rotted, so I have now taken out the old transom and bought the new wood and found a good contact in resin and fiberglass so its just putting it back together now. 'I had a suzuki DT 50 on her for all these years what a smashing engine and still runs well today ! But now we are going to fit suzuki 85 so this will be interesting thanks reading and if i can help you in anyway dont hesitate to ask . jon .
Hello and Welcome. I own a 570 too and love her to bits, She is also on the drive following a summer inland and on the coast. I hate the end of boaty season

Hi rob yes ive taken some photo's and will put them on for you and others to see , and infact we have discovered my son's 570 has also rotted but both transoms are now removed '' its not realy a hard job to remove but its the fiberglassing back'' but they will be like new when we finish. jon
