fitting blackhawk seat pedestals

Hi,
Im restoring a black hawk and would like to fit seat pedestals. it seems you cant get under the deck of a blackhawk so it cant be bolted, would coach bolts supply enough support the pedestals??

Hi Doughie,

I've fitted a pedestal to my F4. I've done it by fibre glassing 10mm ply to the deck and coach bolting to it.
You need to put quite a large piece of ply down to avoid the thing sheering off. ( I might have overdone it with a four foot piece.)

There was an article on this on the old site. Used a largish piece of plywood to mount the pedestals on and that was stuck down with 4 screws and a load of sikaflex

We've now decided to go for folding seats instead so we've now orderd of pair of these:
