Hi and thanks for letting me join. I'm new to boating and have just bought on impulse. Its a 535 of unknown age but in reasonable condition and came with an almost new Mercury 15 4 stroke with 4 hours on it and everything thrown in to get me on the water. Hoping to get it onto the Ouse at Bedford this weekend and no doubt will be picking your brains in the days, weeks and months to come.

Hi There

I am also a newbie both to the Assoc and to boating apart from a brief experience with an inflatable 3.2M Seapro which was both scary and fun on the Scottish West Coast sea lochs. I have now acquired a Shetland Blackhawk 19, Skint Again, circa 1979/80 which I hope to get out on Loch Fyne (sea loch in Argyll & Bute) on Sunday, which will be my first time out on her, so fingers crossed. Hope your outing goes well

Hi Drew. The last time I was on Loch Fyne was in 1979 while serving on HMS Birmingham performing some sort of sonar trials. She was a bit bigger than my Shetland though.

welcome to the forum and nice to see yet another Scottish member! Oh and as for loch fyne , just remember that tarbet is a not so nice so cross the water and eat great food and enjoy one of the best marines in the uk!
