Hi,
I have a Shetland 27i diesel with a 40hp YANMAR 3JH4E engine. I want to carry out a oil change, and understand that the oil will need to be drained via the dip-stick opening. My question is: what is the best type or the right type of pump to use?? there are so many on the market, and I am confused as to which one I should purchase.
Can anyone advise please. Thank you and look forward to any feedbacks.

When I had an inboard engine I used one of these http://www.screwfix.com/p/laser-oil-flu ... tAodRGsAYg and found it worked well.
Cheaper alternative here http://www.marinescene.co.uk/product/78 ... tAodQy4APg
Do make sure you get one with enough capacity to take all the oil. I did find it worked much better after the engine had warmed up the oil as it was easier and quicker to remove.

in the end I bought the SEAGO pump, which I should get in the post today. I will then push on and complete my service
