Solent Flotila 2014

Is anyone interested in a flotilla around the Solent next summer, probably in early July? I ran these from between 2008 and 2010, but unfortunately haven't been able to for the last three years. I joined the SOA in it's free first year, back in 2004, but admit I no longer own a Shetland as I haven't since arranging the first flotilla.
The flotillas are great fun, a mix of sailing too and from The Isle of Wight with a good social mix, and freedom to do as you like. The idea in 2008 was to encourage people, not used to the sea, to try it in the safety of numbers. You do not need a planing boat, just one which is sea worthy, and if you would like to try it but are not sure what to do or how you need to kit your boat, please let me know.
If the interest is still there, I will arrange the organisation and give more details. The bottom line though is it a meeting of friends who look after each other, and we all take full responsibility for our own boats and crew. We all pay our own costs and there is no extra cost beyond that.

I'm in already... How many boats have attended the event in years past?

On each occasion we have had eight boats join the flotilla, we can probably take up to 10, but more than that would be too large and unmanageable.

I'm interested but i guess our 9.9hp will not be sufficient for coastal work.
If I need to buy an additional outboard (it has always been our intention to use the Black Hawk for coastal trips) how big do i have to go?
2 stroke or 4 stroke?
