Norfolk Broads

Gentlefolk of the SOA. I Ned advice. Looking for a base on the broads for the summer. Needs to have the following

Car and trailer storage for a week
Decent slip
Pub in walking distance (optional)

can anyone recommend anything?

Hi Sue. ?..I have been wracking my brains and come up with a couple of possible suggestions. Firstly try contacting the harbour master at Oulton Broad...He can give you info on Oulton Broad as a base or Beccles....Both with a decent slipway, pubs close by but I'm not sure on storage but parking is available, or try The Waveney River Centre at Burgh St Peter, again unsure on storage but a decent pub and parking are available.

Hi Sue,We took Ladydawn on the Broads twice last year and on both occassions we slipped it at Brundall marina. Left the trailer attached to the car and parked it in their locked car-boat park which is under 24 hr cctv surveillance. The cost was 16 quid to slip the boat (launch and retreive) + 14 quid to park the car and trailer for the week! Grand total 30 quid all in, including peace of mind against thieves !
