a few weeks ago I lost at sea the hatch cover of my 498 (with a flexible solar panel glued on it
). It sunk in a place where water is quite deep, and so I am in the need for a new one. I can build one from scratch but I would need a sample to copy, and here there are no other boats like mine, not that I know anyway (to be precise I found one half trashed in a garden not too far from where I live, but unfortunately she misses that part too).Shetland Boats seem to have the replacement for sale on their online shop, but since there are no pictures and my knowledge of boating terms in English is limited I wrote them an email asking for a clarification. Of course I know very well that this association is not directly related to Shetland Boats itself, but I'd like to ask you what usually is your experience with their service. I wrote to them 4 days ago and got no answer yet. In your opinion should I write again or it is normal having to wait for such a long time?
I could call them but I'm not so confident with the language (especially speaking at the phone) and they have no representatives in Italy, so I'd prefer to deal with this via email.
