will this canopy fit???????

hi all
does anyone know if a family 4 canopy would fit a 535
i believe they are approx. same size but not sure
any advice would be very much appreciated

At a guess I'd say probably not. Although they're about the same size overall, the Family 4 doesn't have a splashwell so the canopy would be about 18" longer.

I suppose you could retrim it to fit...?

Actually, the F4s prior to around 1990 did have splashwells. Ours is a 1989 F4 and it certainly has one. I think Shetland Boats started changing over to putting bathing platforms on them in 1990 or thereabouts. Even after that for a while into the early 1990s, there were some that still had splashwells.

As the F4 was based on the 536, which in turn was based on the 535, there is a good chance that the F4 canopy will fit the 535. However, there may be differences in the cockpit dimensions. I think the best thing to do would be to ring Shetland Boats and ask them.

think I will leave it and keep looking for the correct canopy
although
im actually thinking about buying a cheap bimini top do do me for a year or so as I want to sell boat and get a 4 plus 2
prob next year
