570 Canopy support

Hi All
am having problem with water gathering in canopy when it rains. Does anybody have any advice on how I might solve this. I have tried putting a dowel between the supports but this only lasts for a short while.
Any help would be most appreciated

When ours is stored on the land, I just use the boothook with a piece of cloth wrapped around the hook end to prop up the canopy. It's just the right length with the handle end on the floor and the other end making a peak in the canopy cover so that the rain runs off in each direction and doesn't get a chance to pool.

If it is in the harbour, it is on a drying mooring, so twice a day the boat tips over to one side and any water that has collected in the last six hours is emptied. Works a treat.

There used to be a chap in Littlehampton who made a curved bar for Shetland pram hood frames for that purpose, but I am not sure if he still does.

On ours there are three poles that go between the canopy frame, they were with the boat when we bought it.
Looking at them they appear to be a previous owners clever idea. they are made from 15mm copper pipe fitted inside small plastic water pipe with a "T" piece on each end that is cut to slot over the canopy frame they work very well
