max engine hp/weight for family four mk 2?

Am considering replacing my current 2 stroke Mariner 60 with a new 4 stroke Mariner ELPT 60 EFI. Would this see me move around the inshore and coastal waters of western scotland well or should I be looking for bigger? I note that the original Shetland spec quoted max engine HP of 70 but as this was based on 2 stroke hp and weight I thought that a modern 4 stroke 70 might be pushing the limits and also affect my insurance?

a 60 would be a fine choice, are you buying new or 2nd hand? I would also suggest looking at the Tohatsu ( Nissan) and get a price for both
