535 canopy frame

Does anyone have a link for a company that makes the 535 canopy frame.

Direct from Shetland Boats? There was a guy in the Midlands that made them but I believe he stopped doing them.

I made my own from 7/8" aluminium tube and stainless fittings from Seascrew in Eastbourne. Can give you dimensions and pics if you want.

I bought mine online from a company called Littleport Boat Haven, about 3 years ago. However, on a quick scan of their website I can't find canopies anymore. Maybe they no longer make them? You could try asking I suppose.

Although to be honest, looking at the official Shetland website, the ones they make are a similar price to what I paid anyway, so that might be your best option. Can't vouch for the quality of them though, as I've never seen them.

I also remember that little port boat haven did them will give them a call and see,they made my windscreen and side glass and the service and quality was outstanding.
Thanks for the offer Bob but i want a polished stainless frame and cannot be arsed to make it,i see by your you tube vids you have your BF50 !
Also i found a lady that makes 535 canopy's in acrylic for £350.00 & Tonneau's for £80 BONUS !

Thanks for the reminder IlstonMark. Ah yes, Littleport! Not in the Midlands, it was Cambridge, doh! Lol

I gave him a call last year and he told me he didn't make them anymore because they had become too troublesome. I asked Shetland instead and by the time they had added VAT, delivery etc it worked out at about £300 (that was in aluminium too). I made it myself in a couple of hours and spent about £120 on tube and fittings using a plumbers tube bender. It really isn't that difficult or time consuming and you could use 7/8" stainless tube instead....

If Littleport still does the windows and he's pretty good, I'll give him a call again to get mine there. The better half wants tinted glazing to keep her modesty. I'll also need a new tonneau soon so would be very interested in this lady who makes them up?

BTW the Youtube vid is actually of Dave's boat on Lomond. He was kind enough to take me and a buddy out on it one evening last summer to sample a couple of the pubs around the shores of Lomond and see how the Honda performs. Sadly, my nice shiny BF50 is still sitting on my patio waiting to be fitted as I've only just finished a transom repair - it was rotten as sin. Hopefully I'll snatch some boaty days in June and get to enjoy the new motor

I can confirm that the canopy and flat cover for the 535 was brilliant quality and lovely people to deal with.

They have patterns for the Shetland 535 & 570 but can copy existing canopies if needed.
The 535 canopy in acrylic is £375inc a kit with all the poppers and the pvc canopy is £320 + postage
The acrylic cockpit cover is £120 and the pvc cockpit cover is £90.
