I have been recommended CRAFT INSURE for boat insurance by another member. Looking through their application forms I have to declare the top speed of my boat. This I do not know yet. Can anyone advise? My boat is a Shetland 570 +Mucury 75hp 2st. Boat is about 30 years old.

identical to our set up.... I have declared on our insurance 25 knots. This is with 2 adults on board plus normal "equipment" on board. However with a favourable tide and wind we have had 29 knots and hubby said if I ditched my handbag we could have had 30knts

Again depending on tide and wind, we can lift her nose on the plane at about 10/12 knts
