Anchor size, type and weight

I have recently acquired a Shetland 610. It does not have an anchor. Can anyone advise please.

When I was asked for this advice my chandlers wanted to know where I d be anchoring and how deep. I think for my F4 which is a smaller boat I got a 5kg claw type anchor with 5m chain and 30m rope. May be wrong about the weight though! For me it's mostly in mud or sand.

I am on the River Thames at Maidenhead. I am told that it is only about 12 foot deep with a muddy silt bottom.
