The benefit of a proper set up.

Recently purchased a 535 with a 70hp 2-stoke Tohatsu. Added benefit of power tilt and trim plus trim tabs mean that it is possible to have the boat planing at its optimum attitude. With a new chartplotter fitted it was a big surprise to find her top speed was 54.5 knots (ie. 62.5mph). Quite amazing.

At that speed does "G forces" come into play.

Yes it does require a firm hold on. Rather than G forces it's more a matter of knee forces 'cause it's a bit like standing on a big water ski. Alright when it's smooth but you don't half feel the effect of the floor slamming under your feet as you are going over someones wash at that speed.
