During the course of our re-build we decided that the door was an unnecessary encumbrance when on board so we divided it horizontally, the lower part (which is also removable) is clipped back below knee level and the upper slotted into a space between the bulkhead and the panel which has the switch board etc.

Good idea! The door on our Black Hawk is bi-fold and always in the way!
