Wow, it's 60 yrs since I was in Salhouse Broad, what a difference. I used to drive bow onto the bank and throw a weight over the nearest tree bough. Always a problem for the young and old to climb down from the high bow. Now looks very "posh". Is the old wherry still rotting away at the eastern end ?

Apparently it was an old world war 1 ship in a previous life, still there but completely obscured by vegetation now.

Thats brilliant !! Memory can play strange tricks but as soon as I saw the wreck I recognised it. Not a wherry, I can remember doing just the same as those kids on her. Thanks so much for the links. I must dig out my own 8mm cine films I took at that time.
