Shetland 535 and suitability of mariner 75hp 2 stroke

Advice please.
I am trying to source a decent outboard and need advice as to the suitability of a 1987 mariner 75hp 2 stroke to go on my 535

Weight issues?

Hi from memory the 535 can take a 60hp 2 stroke or a 50hp 4 stroke.
But i have seen a few with a 75hp 2 stroke on them.I run a 2003 Yamaha 60hp 2 stroke and it is more then i need.
Just remember these are 40+ year old boats so unless you can be sure the ply inside the transom is solid i would air on the side of caution.

Thanks buddy, will hang on as I think the weight of the 75hp is 130kg
