535 History

Made 001 in 1968/69 I believe …
Stopped 4173 in 1973 …

but you do get 535’s later than this … some say that they were made up to 1980-83 ???

The confusion is they made up to 7000 535 … can anyone throw more light on this please ???

Have you looked up the 535 in the specs pages of this forum? That gives some details.
I wouldn’t have thought Shetland would continue making the 535 after they had replaced it with the 536, but maybe they sold the mould tools to another manufacturer?
Where did you hear that the 535 continued being manufactured after 1975? There are lots of boats out there wrongly described as Shetlands, or incorrectly dated.

Dellquay13 … if you go onto other websites the info differs to Shetland Owners Forum … they all say that Shetland made them up to 1975 producing about 6900-7000 Boats .

Our Forum doesn’t say much more than that (and you would have hoped it should) … it does not mention much about the 535 , 535 Suntrip , 535 Sheltie and I have also heard of someone selling a 535 DeLuxe !!!! (on eBay today) …

The info is very fragmented…
