A recent electrical question in the Technical forum reminded me of the high cost of electricity at my marina, 39p per unit (kWh). At this rate I don't use shore power, so I haven't raised the Maximum Resale Price (MRP) Regulations with the marina.
MRP requires that a reseller of electricity to consumers (i.e. non commercial customers) can only lawfully charge what they themselves pay for electricity, although they may include a pro-rata contribution towards standing charges. The guidance document states the regulations apply to rented homes... caravans and houseboats.
