So I’ve decided to crack on with the new deck, the old one was rotten in places so I’m taking the plunge.

I’d like some advice on my idea please.

Im intending to do the deck in 3 pieces so the centre piece be able to be lifted if the bilge pumps play up.

Im going to use ply and I shall be edging ...

I’ve been on the lookout for a bigger outboard and finally found what I was after.

On inspection the transom plate shows the usual signs of corrosion on the Aluminium Dom areas are worse than others.

Any suggestions as to how to treat this or is it a potentially bigger job...

Hi all, the tinkering continues but I have a question for those in the know:

Is it possible to strengthen the transom and if so how does one go about it?

My idea was to make a frame to sit beneath the engine bay areas and bolt through to it...

I was looking at an Evinrude V4 but it sold very soon after.

I have started upgrading cabin lighting and deck area, what do people use or recommend for external lighting?

Boat is mostly going to be used for fishing.
