My friends who have a Birchwood 21 fixed top are doing the same, it allows someone to sit on the rear seat without having to lean forward !

Hi I have a 4 year old 4+2 with the same fridge as in photos above, yes we do use it, & it works very well. only thing is, if you are staying put on a mooring for more than two days you do need to top up the batteries (2 X 100 AH in my case).
Would not be without it.

The hard part is usualy getting up on the plane, in my experience once up the throttle can be backed off.
Have you tried shifting more weight to the front of the boat ?

This the one recommended by Shetland Boats, & the one I have.
I would say it is the correct size, I have used it to tow my 4+2 from Surrey to Norfolk 3 times now, with no problems.

Not a 570, but I had a Black Hawk (Same hull),
Remove side curtains,& store, then unclip canopy from windscreen & fold back so it rests on the transom.
